Chocolate Coated Marzipan Hearts
Ingredients:

110 gms Ground Almonds
50 gms Castor Sugar
50 gms Icing Sugar (sifted)
2 drops Almond Essence
1/2 nos Egg
1 block good milk chocolate for melting

Method:

  1. Place Almonds, Castor Sugar and Icing Sugar into a bowl and mix together.
  2. Add in Almond Essence and beaten egg to form a soft dough with your fingers.
  3. Knead the dough on a work surface, dusting it with the extra icing sugar.
  4. Cover with glad wrap to prevent drying.
Heart Shape Chocolates

Roll out the marzipan to around _ cm thick and cut into heart shapes or into any desired shapes. Leave to dry for about 20 to 30 minutes.

Melt the chocolate and dip the marzipan into the chocolate and leave to set on a cake rack.

Serve with coffee or tea after dinner.
